Safe Journey Soiree

The Safe Journey Retreat seeks to bridge the African diasporic divide. Founded by Dr. Ijeoma Kola is a women’s empowerment retreat that combines immersive cultural exchange with personal growth and communal transformation in Kenya.  The Safe Journey Retreat will include hands-on empowerment workshops and training from industry leaders, avid travellers, and experienced speakers including Tiffany “The Budgetnista” Aliche, Tenicka Boyd, Dayna Bolden, Hayet Rida, and Patricia Kihoro.

Speakers will be Tori Elizabeth, co-founder of The Colored Girl; Angela Waweru and Monicah Muhoya, co-founders of SisterSpeaks and Heels for Pads; and Isis Nyong’o and Asha Mweru, co-founders of WomenWork.

They also have an opportunity for vendors to showcase and sell merchandise.
